Word to PDF

Turn a Word document into a PDF that opens the same on every device. LibreOffice does the conversion right in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.

Three steps

  1. 01

    Add a document

DOCX, DOC, ODT or RTF: drop it in or pick it from your device.

  2. 02

    Press “Convert”

The file never leaves your device: everything runs in your browser.

  3. 03

    Download the PDF

Fonts, tables and pictures stay in place.

FAQ

Is formatting kept?

Yes: fonts, tables, lists, images, headers, footers and page breaks come through the way the office suite lays them out. A rare font that LibreOffice lacks is replaced by one of the same width.

Which formats work?

DOCX and older DOC from Microsoft Word, ODT from LibreOffice and OpenOffice, and RTF. Phones open DOCX.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Conversion runs in your browser and the document never leaves your device, which matters for contracts, CVs and personal papers.

Why is the first time slower?

Your browser downloads the LibreOffice engine once and keeps it. After that, documents convert in a couple of seconds.

Can I select text in the PDF?

On a computer, yes: the PDF has real text you can copy and search. In quick mode on a phone, pages are saved as images.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up, no watermarks and no file limits. Ads keep the site running.
