PDF to Excel

Get a table out of a PDF and into Excel without retyping figures: we find rows and columns from where the text sits and store numbers so formulas work on them.

Three steps

  1. 01

    Add a PDF

Drop the file in or pick it from your device.

  2. 02

    Press “Convert”

We lay the text out in rows and columns; numbers become numbers.

  3. 03

    Download XLSX

Each PDF page gets its own sheet.

FAQ

Which PDFs work best?

Statements, invoices, price lists and reports exported from software, where the table is stored as text. The straighter the columns, the better the result.

What happens to merged cells?

Text from a wide cell lands in the column where it starts. Borders and shading are not carried over, only the content.

Can I convert a scanned table?

No. A scan holds a picture, not text. Such files need OCR, which PDFKilo does not do yet, and it will tell you so.

How are pages arranged?

Each PDF page becomes its own sheet in the workbook: “Page 1”, “Page 2” and so on.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The spreadsheet is built in your browser and the document never leaves your device.
